I spent a half an hour this morning sharpening my kitchen knives with a basic two-sided sharpening stone. They have been getting dull, and I no longer have the option of taking them in to the Fort Vancouver High School Culinary Arts department for some semi-professional help. No matter! Dave and Dave taught me all I needed to know. Also this link from Cooks Illustrated didn't hurt.
