Christmas Tree

The magic of the season may still elude us at Jude's young age, but you are never to young to appreciate a tree in the living room.

We drove to the woods to cut one down deliberately. Danel accompanied and gave lessons in proper handsaw safety.

After an hour in the car, pretty much any tree seemed good to me. We picked out the first short one we saw. It was a Western Hemlock.

It doesn't hold ornaments very well and the top of the tree sags over. We love it just the same. It is a great thing to be home for Christmas.
